IDS 2000® MONITORING
SYSTEM |
|
The IDS 2000®
Monitoring System provides an integrated display with
current information on drilling parameters and mud
systems values during drilling, tripping and other
critical rig operations.
The optimum drilling data
system for many rigs combines the popular functions of
its MUD DATA® & DRIL DATA™ Monitors into a single,
highly efficient, space saving tool for the modern
driller. The IDS 2000 Monitor represents a giant step
forward in rig instrumentation design, flexibility and
packaging. From a single station, current drilling and
mud data can be monitored. |
|
|
The IDS 2000® Monitor tracks and records a
wide array of drilling parameters such as rotary RPM, topdrive
RPM, standpipe pressure, annulus pressure, depth/ROP/pipe
velocity, hookload/WOB, rotary torque and topdrive torque.
Monitored fluid parameters include mud pit levels, pump
strokes, mud flow, fill strokes, mud weight and mud
temperature. It can also monitor mud gas measurement
information with Petron’s optional hydrocarbon gas
detector.
Features:
• One display
unit for both drilling and fluid parameters.
• Visual and
audible alarms.
• Optional display of mud gas
measurement.
• Compatible with PNT remote computer display
software.
• Local and remote circular chart display
options.
• Interface with Petron's Dril Graf® graphical
display and PDC (Driller's Computer).
• Choice English or
metric display.
• Language option.
• Advanced system
architecture.
• Compact construction allows easy
installation.

EDR Electronic
Drill Recorder |
The basic
Petron EDR is designed to directly replace the fit and
function of the mechanical multi-pen recorder. The EDR
is installed in the doghouse in place of the mechanical
recorder and drilling parameters are displayed both
digitally on a high contrast LCD display and graphically
on a “Drill Graph”. The Drill Graph provides a 24 hour
graphical electronic record, in color, of the monitored
drilling parameters annotated by depth and time. A
separate screen allows a selectable list of comments to
be applied to the electronic drilling record to describe
the activities performed during drilling.
In addition
to the doghouse installation, a toolpusher’s remote is
provided as standard with this system. The toolpusher’s
remote display provides electronic data storage and a
printable daily graphical record of the drilling
parameters being monitored. Up to one year of full data
storage can be stored here and transferred at any time
to a storage medium such as CD Rom, floppy disk, or
other medium as required.
Parameters:
Depth/ROP, Hookload/WOB,
Rotary Torque, Pump Pressure and SPM (Pump Strokes per
Minute). |
